Sad news out of the UK today for Lauryn Hill fans, as it's being reported that the resurgent legend has not been granted entry into the UK due to her "past legal situation" and has had to cancel her forthcoming set at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on the 15th. Hill has offered a statement via Facebook explaining the matter:
Hello All,I've been informed that I won't be able to enter the UK for a period of time due to my past legal situation. For this reason I have to cancel my concert on July 15th. Know that I was looking forward to performing in London this summer, and that I appreciate all of my fans and supporters both in London, and throughout the UK. I look forward to seeing you again as soon as I'm able to.

And so there will be no show this Wednesday from the lovely Miss Hill, but quite fortunately for us all, she's lent her voice to six notable covers on the recently released Nina Revisited compilation supporting the Netflix's critically-acclaimed What Happened, Miss Simone? documentary. You can jump back a bit to put your ears on those, but Europeans shouldn't fret, as Hill still has plenty of dates across the pond for you to see her if you're willing to make the trip.
