If you’ve been visiting us here at Okayplayer for the past few years then the name, Laurent Chevalier, may look familiar to you.

The creator and lead photographer behind The Chevalier Creative, Laurent has helmed numerous First Look Friday photoshoots for us, the “I, Too, Am America” exhibit, and was the brainchild behind the “We Are Joy” photo / essay series that we ran during this year’s Black History Month.

Now, a new documentary spotlights Laurent Chevalier’s photography, which casts light on the everyday marvel of human life. Titled Portrait: Laurent Chevalier — director Kondwani Banda digs in deep to explore the whys and the hows on Laurent’s vision and interpretation of the world around him.
