KRS-One Honors Phife Dawg With A Moving Musical Tribute, Challenges MCs To Follow Suit

If you had tuned-in to the massive musical memorial at the Apollo Theater held in honor of the late Phife Dawg last week, you would have seen and heard a powerful commemoration from the legend, KRS-One, who graced the stage with his presence and verbal acumen in The Five-Footer's name.

Today, KRS has shared an on-record salute to Phife and The Tribe, fittingly-dubbed, "The Phife Dawg Tribute." And while most have simply spoken their peace and respect in tribute to the Queens legend, KRS' came with a call to arms, addressing the hip-hop community at large, challenging MCs of all shapes, sizes and ranks to craft their own rhythmic remembrance of the fallen pioneer, who along with Tip, Ali and Jarobi, challenged us all to simply be unique and command our own lanes.
