KRS-One Gives It Up For Audio Engineers On His New Single "Sound Man"

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

In case you missed the memo, legendary Bronx MC KRS-One is making a righteous return, and on Thursday the world was treated to a brand new track. This one comes dedicated to the technicians, no, artists that man the soundboards in venues across the world. It's called, simply, "Sound Man" and is a present-day demonstration that KRS-One hasn't let his rhyme tenacity slip one bit. Pair that with dynamic production from DJ Static and you've got a track that gives due props to the people that make the show possible.

Previously we heard KRS-One speaking out against America's defunct drug policy on "Drugs Won," and so, now, it seems the man is building a repertoire of songs with distinct messages for his new LP, Now Hear This. That record drops on November 24th. Listen to "Sound Man" and check out the MC's current East Coast touring itinerary after the jump.
