Legendary selectors King Britt and Derrick May chronicle their groundbreaking careers as sonic pioneers in respective fireside chats with Red Bull Music Academy and filmmakers Chris Hersey and Zach Weedon. Avowed afro-futurist King Britt discusses his storied career from his formative years in Philadelphia's music scene, where he rubbed elbows with DJ Jazzy Jeff and members of the Sun-Ra Arkestra through his time with Digable Planets and the days of the time-honored Sylk 130 movement. From deep house producer to father of the Fhloston Paradigm, King Britt is dedicated to taking sound forward even as he takes us back. The equally iconic Detroit techno institution Derrick May talks with Hersey and Weedon about everything from the mundane to the magical as he breaks down his feelings on life, music, slippers and his history with Movement Festival co-founder Juan Atkins.
