Kendrick Lamar Hints At New Fourth Album With Cryptic Instagram Post

Looks like Kendrick Lamar is prepping the release of his fourth album.

Last night on Instagram, the rapper dropped the following picture.

The post was not captioned with any other information, but whenever something like this happens it is because an artist is getting ready to drop something, and in Kendrick's case it is his fourth album.

Kendrick has been understandably silent about anything surrounding the album, but he has discussed some of the themes prevalent on the project, including his faith and how God and religion plays a part in his artistry.

"We're in a time where we exclude one major component out of this whole thing called life: God," Kendrick said in an interview with New York Times T Magazine. "Nobody speaks on it because it's almost in conflict with what's going on in the world when you talk about politics and government and the system."

He also stated how the arrives at an "urgent" time," and how it will be different from its predecessor To Pimp A Butterfly, saying: "To Pimp A Butterfly was addressing the problem. I'm in a space now where I'm not addressing the problem anymore."

While we await the release of any other information (or songs) from the forthcoming album, at least we've still got a handful of Kendrick to keep us satisfied. Although released back in March of last year, Untitled Unmastered is just as much as a compelling listen than To Pimp A Butterfly. Plus, the Compton native has popped up on features for everybody from Thundercat (on his recently released album Drunk) to Rae Sremmurd's "Perfect Pint," a track that the duo premiered at SXSW.

We will keep you updated on any other news that happens to drop in regards to Kendrick's forthcoming release.
