Kendrick Lamar Goes Off The Dome On 'Big Boy's Neighborhood' Freestyle

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Kendrick Lamar stopped by Power 106's Big Boy's Neighborhood to drop a few lines on the masses from the top of his dome. After speaking to his relationship with J Cole and once again delving into the nature of his "Control-versy" K Dot simply goes off over a string of classic backdrops, proving he's much more than a studio emcee. Lamar jumps from break to break, painting deep narratives for the homies in the booth, each transitioned to and from with a proper little cypher chant. Then Big Boy himself decides to get in on the fun and grab the mic to drop some of his own verbal.

The appearance follows the release of the Compton-bred mic-murderer's uplifting and soulful new single "I," which set the world ablaze yesterday morning as the first legitimate contender to Pharrell's "Happy" since the hat came into play. Another fine showing from the pillar of TDE's roster of sharpened tongues, getting the heads riled-up for the imminent follow-up to his insta-classic good kid mAAd city. Watch Kendrick Lamar and Big Boy go at it on Power 106 below and keep it locked, as it appears there's plenty more on the way from the King.
