It appears Kanye West has officially dropped the artwork for Yeezus. There it is (above) in all its minimalist glory. The album includes no traditional cover or booklet which leaves the focus on what’s important: the music. With just a hand-written sharpie note on duct tape with the title, Kanye has apparently changed his mind from a previously rumored cover. Some might say that this album cover format is similar to Mos Def‘s True Magic. For a minute, the album was available for pre-order via KanyeWest.com, but it has since been taken down. Some are saying that Ye is still putting finishing touches on the tracklist. He seems to have been affected by mixed reviews to his aggressive new tracks. We will all find out what he has planned soon. The record will land in stores and online for consumption on June 18th.
