Kanye West's BBMAs Performance Could Barely Be Seen Or Heard And Was Booed Repeatedly

Kanye West's Billboard Music Awards Performance Could Barely Be Seen Or Heard

Kanye West's performance at the Billboard Music Awards was one of his most interesting musical moments in some time, not for what was seen or heard, but in the rare occurrence of just how little made its way to the other side of the screen. Perhaps you saw the gaudy pyrotechnics display and the veil of fire and sparks that it drew across the stage, but that was just the tip of this smoke & mirror show. West's performance was also plagued by an inconceivable amount of bleeps, omitting a full minute of his verbal acrobatics from the broadcast and leaving us all scratching our heads. He ran through his turn-up anthem "All Day" with featured artists Allan Kingdom and Theophilus London at his side, quickly transitioning to the Yeezus favorite "Black Skinhead" before the curtains closed, but not even that would save Ye from a torrent of boos, which began with his sisters in-law introducing him. Listen, it's kinda clear that the BBMAs are nothing more than a numbers game (and always were,) so these types of technical/administrative hiccups shouldn't be taken all too seriously, certainly no more than the awards show itself, who claimed that Yeezy gave them little to no prep for his performance, stating "He's Kanye, what are we supposed to do?" Watch Kanye West's hitch-loaded performance at the Billboard Music Awards below.
