When it comes to catching live music there's no time/place/season quite like SummerStage 2015. It's in the name! Look, the universe only has one center and let's just say they put this series in Central Park for a reason. Jungle, Ibeyi and Sunni Colón helped out by putting the summer in SummerStage for Okayplayer's own edition of the stellar concert series, bringing vibes both spiritual and ecstatically sweaty to the hallowed Rumsey Playfield. The deadass seriousness of the sounds--which ranged from haunting Afro-Cuban acapellas to frenzy-inducing dance anthems--took nothing away from the beautiful, breezy vibes that permeated a cool summer evening. That spirit obtained backstage as well, where the headliners mingled, laughed out loud and generally acted as if they were all in the same band.

OKP TV's cameras were there to capture it all and for the very brief space of this Okayplayer interview, Tom McFarland and Josh Lloyd-Watson of Jungle and twins Naomi and Lisa-Kaindé Díaz of Ibeyi really did morph into a sort of temporary super-group, sitting boy-girl/boy-girl and chopping it up like longtime homies as they described their relationship to each other's music. Watch the fun unfold below in our full OKP TV SummerStage 2015 recap, including a powerful dose of performance footage featuring all three acts who touched the stage to give you the most vivid living-vicariously experience possible. Then channel all that positive energy into motivation to get yourself to the nexus of the musical universe on Saturday July 25th for Okayafrica's SummerStage show, featuring Young Fathers and Bombino! You can also support the City Parks Foundation (which makes SummerStage a reality every year) in the most fashionista way imaginable by copping Okayplayer's ultra-limited edition Jungle x Ibeyi concert tee, featuring the original hand-drawn poster art from Erin Cardigan (complete info here).
