John Legend Celebrates Universal Love In "Love Me Now" Video

John Legend has released the music video for his song "Love Me Now."

Directed by Nabil Elderkin (Kanye West, Frank Ocean, Common, Mos Def, Vince Staples), the video was shot across the world at Orlando's Pulse Nightclub; Standing Rock Reservation in North Dakota; Domiz Refugee Camp in Northern Iraq; and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.

Each location depicts a moment of intimacy and love, a sentiment that the world could use much more of now. That desire is only emphasized by Legend, who appears alongside wife Chrissy Teigen and their child, in the video.

"Love Me Now" appears on Legend's forthcoming album Darkness and Light, which drops on December 2 via Columbia. The 12 track release will feature Chance the Rapper, Miguel, Alabama Shakes' Brittany Howard and more. See the tracklist and cover art below.

In other John Legend-related news the artist will be in charge of a forthcoming TV series that aims to tell an important part of black America's history.

Titled Black Wall Street the show will focus on the one and only Black Wall Street, a wealthy black neighborhood in Greenwood, Tulsa that was attacked in 1921 by a mob of angry whites who burned it down and massacred hundreds of black residents over two days.

The show will examine how Black Wall Street and the community around its creation became a safe haven even at a time of deep segregation. It will also examine the backlash that the community faced over the course of the two day rampage. The show is in its early development, but hopefully it will debut some time in early 2018 if picked up to series.
