Jimmy Fallon x Idina Menzel x The Roots Perform "Let It Go" On Classroom Instruments + Ask The Roots

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Turns out, when Jimmy Fallon and The Roots made their way to The Tonight Show, someone told em they could bring there box of toys, as Idina Manzel-- not the Travoltafied Adele Dazeem-- took to the big playroom to perform her Academy Award winning "Let It Go" from the triumphant animated feature Frozen with The Roots and Jimmy backing the EGOT champion on assorted kazoos, ukuleles, and pocket xylophones. Idina's masterful powerhouse vocals stunted supreme over the playful accompaniment, a true treat for the kid in ya.

But wait, there's more. Ever wonder how Tariq became Black Thought or how ?uestlove got his inquisitive namesake? In an Ask The Roots segment, the crew gives an account of how each of them got their nicknames, begging the question, why didn't Ahmir stick with "A-Sample" or even "The Divine Technique"? Its a take with The Roots that would make any stan proud. You can watch Idina Menzel rock with The Roots and Jimmy on The Tonight Show below, but after playtime is over, go see how The Roots got each of their respective names in the candid sit-down with the crew.
