This Friday, Jidenna will finally release his debut album, which is chocked full of hits like “Classic Man,” “Long Live the Chief,” and, of course his latest, “The Let Out”.

The former teacher turned entertainer puts together an ill rags-to-riches story, as he and his friends hop into a clunky Honda Civic to head out to a club where what happens outside is doper than what’s going inside. “Heard that shit was jumpin’ like the wall that border Mexico,” he sings over the trap-inspired beat.

While the single features MigosQuavo on the cut, the #1 charting artist in the country, unfortunately, doesn’t appear in the music video, which features artists Fear & Fancy and Nana Kwabena. As the fourth single from The Chief, out Feb. 17, Jidenna looks to make 2017 his breakout year.

After President Barack Obama added him to his summer 2016 playlist, Jidenna was everywhere: from late night TV to our own Roots Picnic to guest starring on HBO’s Insecure.

Watch as “The Let Out” party goes down in the parking lot. Cop your copy of The Chief when it is available on Friday, Feb. 17.
