Drop a live EP as your debut commercial release and then shoot a music video for the bonus studio track?? What in the name of all that is holy is going on here. Well, whats going on is Team Jennah Bell is trying to give you the most multi-faceted look possible at this versatile young artist. The acoustic set recorded in Live At Mother NY (the 2nd release on the newly-relaunched Okayplayer Records--stream here and find buy links below) was a stripped down version of her typical live show (which you absolutely need to see to understand what Ms. Bell is all about). But there are other sides to her as well. Among other things, Jennah loves the movies, Pixar films in particular. As she said during her show at Mother: "they are really intelligent films for kids, but also adults. Anyone can go to a Pixar film and get something out of it. Monsters Inc. is my favorite and "Monster Killer" is inspired by the film." Which tells you just enough to enjoy this subtle and original video (and lovely, haunting song) without any need for a spoiler alert.
