Jay Electronica Breaks Down "Better In Tune With The Infinite" + Cookin Soul Remix

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Jay Electronica recently sat with Jason Goldwatch at the SXSW Music Festival to talk about the unexpected release of "Better In Tune With The Infinite" - a track from his elusive Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Turn) LP - and more for Mass Appeal. The track featuring Latonya Givens aka Tone Trezure has been making waves since Jay honored a fan request last week, dropping the track during his time at the annual fest in Austin. "Better In Tune With The Infinite" has already begun to make the rounds on the remix circuit with a recent rework from Valencia's finest, Cookin Soul. The track's emergence has also proven that Jay Elec's fans have not totally given up hope that his highly-anticipated project will indeed see the light of day. Goldwatch dropped an open letter reinforcing Jay Electronica's importance to hip-hop following Mass Appeal's run at the festival:

‘I’ve eaten better molly than most rappers will ever dream about.’

How did radio let these screaming idiots ruin both our music and our drug cultures with these retarded mantras. I was at an opening recently, talking about how Andy Warhol was funded by the CIA as part of a “culture war” during the cold war era. Like, the Dark Departments within the Pentagon funded the buying of modern art to set a monetary and thus cultural flag pole.

And it dawned on me, these fuck rappers are terrorists. These screaming fuck boys were hired by the government to infiltrate our culture and ruin it from the inside out. Rap had become too powerful, and too relevant in current American culture. Holy shit the world NEEDS Jay Elelctronica right now….
