Jared Evan & Statik Selektah - "Scene" [Official Video]

It's been a few months since we heard from blue-eyed bomber/crooner Jared Evan and his right-hand man Statik Selektah. The dulcet duo just dropped a stirring clip for their latest single "Scene" off their forthcoming joint mixtape Boom Bap & Blues 2 (Still Blue), which has been a stellar sophomore venture for the fellas. The groove's sobering soul chops and tender hook gets laid against a sinister visual that finds Evan in the midst of a kidnapping plot, tied-up, bound and beaten before managing to free himself and get back to the "Scene." Though I must admit, if the scene involves taking a two-by-four to the gut, I'd gladly diverge. It's the first we've heard from the team since they linked on "God Knows" with De La's mighty Posdnuos and the trill OG Bun B, making this one righteous follow-up. Boom Bap & Blues 2 hits digital shelves next week on October 28th, so be sure to keep your ear to the ground for a link.
