Pharrell Williams gave the incomparable Janelle Monáe a hell of an introduction to welcome her onstage for set at the annual Afro Punk festival which went down in Brooklyn’s Commodore Barry Park over the weekend (more on that soon, trust)–and Mizz Monáe lived up to her every word with he performance of “Sincerely Jane” (below) and very timely cover of The Jackson 5‘s “I Want You Back” (after the jump).
