James Blake announces sophomore LP

Tomorrow it will snow somewhere between 10 and 30 inches on the East Coast of the US of A. While you’re curled up on your couch, or under your covers, sighing with the sweet relief of a real live snow day, staring out the window as the white flakes descend, you might want to listen to this on repeat. James Blake‘s new single “Retrograde”–released today in conjunction with announcement of Overgrown, his sophomore album, features his trademark vocals–haunting, layered, minor-key- over a spare but persistent beat. A beautiful dirge, a connection to the sublime. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Overgrown will be released on Universal Republic on April 8, just in time for a North American tour. Stream “Retrograde” below and scroll down for full dates.
