House Shoes breaks down J Dilla's beat for Slum Village - "Hoes"

Professor House Shoes steps up to the lectern yet again in the latest of Bling47′s J Dilla sample breakdowns. The subject of today’s lesson? “Hoes”–specifically the Slum Village track of the same name off their Trinity LP which contains one of the last beats Dilla composed for the group and (in Shoes’ humble opinion) one of T3‘s best verse ever. The sample comes from a psychedelic supergroup of rock heroes devoting themselves to the humble task of soundtracking the children’s classic The Butterfly Ball for an animated movie that was never made.
