This fall, after the homey Joey Taste sent me the track "Rising 5" and I did some digging on google, I realized something… I was late on the LuckyMe express. Well I've since caught up (a bit) and now it is my pleasure to help spread the word to my comrades in music discovery. He is Glasgow, Scotland's own Hudson Mohawke (Hudson Mo, HudMo) and as I said, he is not new. At the age of 15, under the name DJ Itchy, HudMo was the youngest ever UK DMC finalist. But let me let you enjoy researching the young producer/dj's history, the LuckyMe collective, and his debut album, Butter, released on Warp on October 26th of this year (buy it from Amazon, iTunes).

Go to http://www.thisisluckyme.com/ and poke around but beware of the nearly 50 free mixtapes from the collective available for free download… good for a snow day.
Google and dig up "Hudson's Heeters," Hudson Mohawke's straight to cassette promo from back in 2005. This is the first thing I did while I waited for Butter to drop, you will not be disappointed. Yeah, I got the .RAR sitting right here on my desktop, but what fun is that?
