"How To Break" Brings Breakdancing To The Theater Stage

Playwright Aaron Jafferis' latest work, the 2012 Thomas Barbour Playwright's Award winning How To Break, will have its world premiere at New York City's Here Arts Center on October 18th.  The play, a collaboration between Jafferis and world reknowned breakers Kwikstep and Rokafella, beat boxers Adam Matta and Yako 440, composer Rebecca Hart and director Christopher Edwards follows the story of a music therapist/yoga teacher, a "socially awkward" pediatric hematologist and a nurse with a "beatboxing problem" as they deal with Joel and Keisha, two teens living with sickle cell anemia and leukemia, respectively.

How to Break plays October 18 – November 4 as follows: Tuesday through Saturday at 7:00pm with matinees on Sunday, October 28 and November 4 at 2:00pm.  Additional late performances on Friday, October 26 and November 2 at 10:30pm.
