OkayGamers: 'The Hip Hop Dance Experience' Primes For The Club

Today marks a historic day for hip hop dancers and wannabes alike! If you've ever played "Dance Dance Revolution" (or any games like it) for the Wii or Kinect, you've had fun. It's hard to resist fun while bopping and grooving to the game's watered-down tracks, trying to precisely execute moves without busting out your Ciara-esque krump-rachet face in front of your friends. But you've also been disappointed. If you're in love with what hip hop does to your body; in love with how the music sneaks in through your ear and ends up in your chest; in love with the gritty sexiness you exude on every hard-hitting beat, clap, jingle, shot, horn, etc -- well, then, you've been disappointed for sure. No game has been able to take players to where "Look At Me Now" or "Work Hard, Play Hard" has taken them in the club. Until today.

You might want to clear out your living room before inviting me or your friends over to play Ubisoft's The Hip Hop Dance Experience(HHDE). In the words of Kevin Hart, "It's about. To go. Down": this game is boasting an ultimate hip hop track list (the most ultimate track list a kid-friendly game can have, mind you) with hits from favorites like Q-Tip, Snoop Dogg (Lion), and Outkast. And not those pop covers you find on other dance games! You're getting songs straight from the beasts' mouths here. It doesn't stop there, either. With moves designed by famed choreographers like Laurieann Gibson and Dave Scott, HHDE is going to prime you for the club -- or better, Beyonce herself! Uh oh...

Maybe dancing with Beyonce is a stretch. For that dream, sign up for a class and get to the back of the line. But if you're looking for a non-disappointing, fun, "You Got Served" hip hop dance experience, get this game and dance your ass off (don't hurt nobody!). Starting today, The Hip Hop Dance Experience is available for Kinect™ and Wii™. Pick up your copy at the nearest BestBuy or game retailer. Check the game's official trailer below, and catch hip hop icon B.o.B talk about his involvement in the game (after the jump).
