Hannibal Buress Talks New Tour, Getting Scolded By Jay Z & Beyonce

Hannibal Buress Joins "Spider-Man: Homecoming" Cast

Hannibal Buress is about to embark on a fall stand up comedy tour, and the comedian has been doing some radio interviews in anticipation of it.

Yesterday, Buress was a guest on The Breakfast Club, and proceeded to discuss everything from that infamous Bill Cosby joke that became viral, to being scolded by Jay Z and Beyoncé.

"It's an interesting situation to be a part of," Hannibal said in regards to the Cosby fiasco that began back in 2014, after a joke he made about The Cosby Show creator in Philadelphia. "I did a bit that I had been doing...I was just talking about hypocrisy and it went like that."

And as for getting scolded by America's most valuable union? Turns out it all happened at a recent party at Jay Z's 40/40 Club. Buress was attending the event with Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa, when Mr. and Mrs. Carter arrived and proceeded to take a picture with the two Chicago rappers. Hannibal tried snapping a picture of the group for himself and, well, the outcome was somewhat awkward.

"I pull out my phone to grab the same shot a second afterwards and I don't know if it was because the flash was on, but Jay Z was like 'Ay man, be cool,'" Buress said.

Apparently in the picture that Buress took, Beyoncé can be seen angrily pointing in his direction. And although Chance and Vic tried to vouch for the fellow Chicagoan after the photo was taken, Jay Z still requested that Buress "be cool."

Regardless, the Broad City star doesn't have any hard feelings. "Now when I'm listening to Reasonable Doubt I'm like 'Yeah man, can I live?' This dude scolded me," the actor said.

Check out the entire interview below where Buress also discusses working with Eric Andre, and his pre-show rituals.
