Hannibal Buress Dissects His Favorite Music In Debut Episode Of New Spotify Program

Spotify Is Giving Hannibal Buress A Platform To Talk About His Favorite Music

Hannibal Buress has always expressed a deep appreciation of musical excellence. His show Why? proved this in spades, hosting the gamut of left-leaning eccentrics like Flying Lotus (as house DJ) Thundercat, Jean Grae and Open Mike Eagle, for brilliant live performances on the program. Hell, he's even actually been featured on a few songs, ad-libbing over tracks for BJ The Chicago Kid and Open Mike in recent years.

A new partnership with Spotify as their current artist-in-residence finds the comedian waxing sentimental over some of this favorite cuts from throughout hip-hop history, including joints from Raekwon, Nas, Lupe Fiasco, OutKast, Busta Rhymes, K-Ci & Jo-Jo and plenty of others that should pique your interest. His musings are, of course, rib-tickling and offer a rare lens into the man's musical palette. The first episode was released today and is available for you to stream down below. Be sure to stay woke, as Buress will have a new episode premiere every month. As far as live dates are concerned, you can catch him in Cambridge, MA on February 26th at MIT's Kresge Auditorium. Check back in the months ahead for new drops from Hannibal Buress.
