Okay Acoustic: Greighwolfe Performs "I Still" For OKP TV

First Look Friday Alum Greighwolfe Performs "I Still" For The Latest Okay Acoustic Segment From OKP TV.

First Look Friday alum Greighwolfe follows the summer release of the BLACK EP and our recent debut of his BlastOff Studios set with an exclusive performance of "I Still" for OKP TV. This set is the latest from our Okay Acoustic series following appearances from Jon Batiste, Liam Bailey and Toya Delazy. Accompanied by pianist Basil Wajdowicz, Greighwolfe lends his sand and salt infused falsetto to a stripped rendition of the seductive BLACK EP standout. Showcasing his ability to deploy an emotionally wrought panty-dropper at a moment's notice, he reveals the true depths of his vocal dexterity and notes that a little method acting goes a long way in performance.

The creeping, stride-inflected blues is a departure from the echoing, buzzing, bassed-out feel of the original. This rendition recorded at Engine Room Audio eats through the tough exterior of the total package to polish his pulsating, body heat inflected lyrics and push them to the fore for easier consumption and - it could be argued - a much more jarring impact. Greighwolfe's performance of "I Still" is the latest from the UK phenom ahead of his upcoming CMJ performances in NYC. Greighwolfe will be hitting the stage at the Alphabet Lounge on October 22nd and performing again at The Knitting Factory on October 24th. Check the footage below to watch Greighwolfe's performance of "I Still." Stream the BLACK EP via SoundCloud and purchase the project via iTunes. Look out for more from Greighwolfe, coming this fall. Stay tuned for more from Okay Acoustic and OKP TV.
