Grace Jones' Iconic 'Warm Leatherette' Headed Back To Vinyl w/ Deluxe 4xLP Reissue

At 67-years-old, Grace Jones is still as fiery, focused and fashionable as ever. Anyone within an earshot of her life-affirming Afro Punk set last year knows this too-damn-well. But today, we're happy to hear that one of her most iconic (and truly era-defining) records will get new life in 2016, 36 years after its initial release.

Jones' fourth studio album, Warm Leatherette, effected on more than just a musical level. The original cover, with an iron gaze from Jones laying dead center, fixed upon cartoonishly broad shoulders, is perhaps, in itself, one of those pristine lenses into an artistry that singularly helped bring an entire generation into crystalline clarity for anyone looking in from the outside. That album, originally released in 1980, will be reissued on vinyl as a 4xLP set this summer, packing in-era extended mixes and remixes, b-sides and plenty more for the devout Grace Jones enthusiast. Pre-order are currently underway via Discover, but be warned: this one won't come cheap at £84.99, which comes out to about $122.00 USD and that doesn't even include shipping. Peep the album's immutably funky title track below and start stacking to make that purchase.
