Ghostface Killah & Vince Staples "Get The Money" On Their New Single

Fresh off the presses comes Ghostface Killah and Vince Staples's newly-minted collaboration track, a fidgety soul-rap piece dubbed "Get The Money." Over organs and live drums ripped straight out of a 70s crime thriller, sirs Starks and Staples take turns self-asserting, promising they're "out here to pillage loot." It's all made possible by the track's producer, Adrian Younge, whose signature use of acoustic instruments has become a paradigm unto itself lately, what with his numerous high-profile collaborations.

Only two weeks have gone by since we heard Younge and Killah link with Raekwon for "Let The Record Spin," a similarly vintage-inspired joint that served as the debut single for the upcoming Twelve Reasons to Die II LP, a full-length collaboration between both Ghostface Killah and and the producer that's due due out on July 10th. But while "Record Spin" was an almost tranquil number that recalled much of Ghostface's Sour Soul collaboration with Badbadnotgood, "Get the Money" is a much more kinetic affair. It's the kind of music you feel like doing something dangerous to; getting chased by hoodlums would be alright by us, so long as this cut was blasting from overhead. Inquiring, eager parties can already pre-order the LP via iTunes. And those truly dedicated to spirit of analog can cop a special vinyl package of the record here.
