The waitress also allegedly heard someone use the n-word.

Shelley Sidney, a waitress at Atlanta's Antica Posta was outraged when a man drew a hate symbol on a menu and handed it to her while she was working. In a report from WSB-TV, the incident occurred during a private party for David Irving, a Holocaust denier who was having a speaking event at the restaurant.

"I get to the last person in the party, and they give me a menu that has a swastika drawn it," Sidney said. She then showed the menu to her boss, Marco Betti, and wanted him to remove the guest. But instead, Betti cited freedom of speech and allowed the guest to stay at the restaurant.

"I was hurt and frustrated," Sidney said. "I was really in tears when I was overhearing the conversations, the private conversations of just how horrible black people are, immigrants are, gay people are."

However, according to Betti's attorney, Manny Arora, Betti asked Sidney if she didn't want to serve the group anymore and reassigned somebody else to the table. Betti was also unaware that the event was being hosted by Irving.

"You don't check into people's backgrounds or their political beliefs before you agree to a reservation," Arora said.

Sidney said her boss has asked her not to come to work for the last two days but Arora said she is still employed at the restaurant.
