Last year, Funkadelic released an expansive, 33-track album, representing each and every year since their last official release, which depending on who you ask or how you count it, could have been The Electric Spanking Of War Babies or Connections & Disconnections. Though no matter how you count it, their 2014 First Ya Gotta Shake The Gate LP is marks a masterful return, featuring Boston beat-smiths Soul Clap and a grip of features from the reclusive psychedelic soul legend Sly Stone. Today, however, the titanic funk force has culminated in a deceptively poignant claymation clip for the disco-flecked single "In Da Kar," which featured a rare cameo from Stone on the keys. Here we find the Soul Clap duo observing the perils of environmental ruin and perpetual war, meeting an animated Clinton like Wayne Campbell's Big Chief dream.
