Freddie Gibbs Calls Up E-40 & Gucci Mane On New Cut "10 Times"

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

We're less than 12 hours away from the release of Shadow of a Doubt, the new mixtape from Gary, Indiana rap powerhouse Freddie Gibbs, and to keep us chomping at the bit, the MC has opted to share a fourth track from the tape, a devilishly smooth offering dubbed "10 Times" that features both Gucci Mane and E-40 over a silky Sid "Speakerbomb" Miller beat. If you're perhaps second-guessing the cut based solely on the MC roster, think again--"10 Times" is based upon persistent handclaps and a single synth line that's so melody-centric that we're almost reminded of the ringtone rap era. Gibbs drops bar after bar about longing for a lady who's a certified 10 and, we're told, stuck dating the wrong sort of guy. It shouldn't be that much of a surprise, after all we knew Gibbs was the romantic type.

"10 Times" follows the Black Thought-powered "Extradite," the trapped-up "Packages," and lead single "Fuckin Up The Count" from Shadow of a Doubt, and is further proof that Gibbs is intent on showing just how nicely he can play with other MCs on the new disc. Listen to the new Freddie Kane below, and pre-order Shadow of a Doubt on iTunes before it drops this Friday.
