Frank Ocean, in a stil from the official video for "Pyramids" f/ John Mayer

It all makes sense now. Frank Ocean put on his lucky eagle sweater and appeared with John Mayer on Saturday Night Live over the weekend for a live performance of his song “Pyramids” (below–the very first leak from his LP Channel Orange, you may recall) so what better time (?) to drop the song’s official video (after the jump) featuring shots of absinthe, some gunplay, scary strippers, a motorcycle ride through the metaphysical desert of Frank’s soul and–naturally–a wailing guitar solo from John Mayer in front of a pyramid adorned with what appear to be kabbalic symbols. Directed–naturally–by video genius and friend of OKP Nabil Elderkin, the epic and surreal qualities of the vid contrast nicely with the quiet impact of the live performance. Frank and crew also lead off with an intricate guitar-embroidered performance of his signature jam “Thinkin’ Bout You,” so find that after the jump as well and purchase Channel Orange on iTunes now.

Wow. This man is incredible. D has some competition.

Nice performance, but he ain’t even in the same league as D.

Since D has yet to actually let any new material go in over a decade, I’d say my comment still stands.

I wish he used the other parts of the album version instead of just the slow beats.. the faster parts.. Probably didn’t want to expose his inability to dance/move. Dope video, though.

I think the admin of this web page is truly working hard for
his website, since here every material is quality based stuff.
