Watch A Spellbinding New Live Performance From FKA Twigs

The multiform talents of FKA Twigs were on full display Wednesday night (Nov. 4th) at the 20th annual Music of Black Origin Awards in Leeds, England. Backed by her band and a troupe of dancers, Twigs performed two numbers, "Figure 8" and "In Time," which both appear on her fantastic (and somewhat slept-on) M3LL155X EP.

In just five minutes, FKA Twigs proved many times over how much control she has over her raw and sprawling talent. Her voice glimmering over the first wilting chords of "Figure 8," the 27-year-old delicately blended trip-hop, R&B and the darker strains of pop into an offering both intelligent and unsettling. An extended dance break during the midsection of "In Time" proves to be the center point of it all, and FKA Twigs and her dancers have the steps down pat. She may, perhaps, not be for everyone, but the MOBO performance made it clear that Twigs is capable of anything.

Over the course of the evening, FKA Twigs won a MOBO award for Best Video ("Pendulum"), and was also nominated for Best Female Act along with another video nom for "Glass & Patron".

Watch the full performance below and prepare to be amazed—and slightly frightened. Cop a copy of M3LL155X on iTunes as well.
