Afro-funkateers rejoice! Finding Fela will be arriving a day earlier than expected, landing a sneak peek at NYC's IFC Theater ahead of its official big screen debut the following day. The Alex Gibney-directed doc promises to be a thorough chronicle of Fela Kuti's seismic contribution to the funk tradition (pioneering afro-beat in every regard,) his political activism and his legacy as one of the most powerful performers to hit a stage since the dawn of the bandstand.
