Erick Sermon, Method Man & Redman Flex Vintage Muscle On The Mic w/ Funk-Clad Heater "Clutch"

Erick Sermon is not a name we've heard very much from over the years, but his formidable legacy as half of the golden-era duo EPMD keeps our ears perked whenever he turns up and drops a heater out of the blue. Today is such a day and "Clutch" is such a track, fortified by funky horn lines and some very potent ism from Method Man & Redman (marking their second appearance in just as many days) who prove to be in vintage form on Sermon's latest offering, blazing bars like blunts on this very enjoyable audible treat. The track comes to us from Sermon's forthcoming E.S.P. (Erick Sermon’s Perception,) his first record in 11 years, which is available to preorder on iTunes today ahead of its August 28th release and plays host to a bevy of featured spots form Faith Evans, Syleena Johnson, Sheek Louch and plenty of others for you to get your fill. Get yourself a cut of that rugged & raw on Erick Sermon's latest single "Clutch" down below and hold tight for the new funk in the weeks and months ahead.
