El-P comes through once again, to beat the beatheads in the head with more beats. Compared with the last instrumental he dropped, this one sounds less like the b-boy Terminator and more like the krautrock James Bond, if you take my meaning. I think I hear the spirit of drummer Jaki Liebezeit hovering somewhere over this drum programming is what I mean–and this track is kinda begging for an action movie to go with it. Best of all, though, this is just the tip of the rhythm-atic iceberg because El-Producto got King Tubby with it today dropped a full-length instrumental version of his album-of-the-year-contender Cancer 4 Cure.
