In the case of 39-year-old Carlin Q. Williams... The Artist Formerly Known As Prince is not your father (Maury Povich voice). Since the passing of Prince some folks have been coming out of the woodwork, or in this case prison cells, to claim blood-relation to the musical genius that was Prince and more importantly (for them) to get their hands on some of Prince's money. Money that's estimated to be around $300 million. Prince left no will dealing with what was to be done with his fortune in the event of his death. The details of how it will be split is currently being hammered out in court.
Carlin Q. Williams of Kansas City is currently a federal prisoner serving an eight year bid for illegally transporting a firearm in a stolen car. He claimed his mother and Prince had unprotected sex in a Kansas City hotel back in 1976. Williams, like his alleged father, made music under the name Prince Dracula. A track on William's Reverbernation page titled "We Come 2 Get Our People" should perhaps be entitled "We Come 2 Get Our Money".
A DNA test was conducted. The results showed a 0.00% connection between Williams and Prince. The mother of Williams, Marsha Henson still believes the DNA test doesn't discount their claim.
