DJ Jazzy Jeff & Rhymefest Share Laid Back New Single "Acquired Taste" ft. Eric Roberson
Last we caught up with DJ Jazzy Jeff he'd turned in a heavy remix of Anderson .Paak's "Room In Here." Many faces are still screwed up from repeated rotations. Now the Philly legend's got his sights set on a new collaborative project founding a creative kinship with Chicago's Rhymefest as Jeff & Fess.
Earlier last month they proved to be a formidable pairing with chemistry galore on their debut single "No Fear," teased in a recap video for Today they continue the campaign with a slick and laid back new offering in "Acquired Taste," finding Fest in top-form, introspective and sharp as ever over a smooth suite provided by the legend of the ones and twos. Eric Roberson comes through with the silk hook, rounding out a subtly seductive outing.
Though no date has been announced for a collaborative project, clearly there's something on the way. But we'll just have to wait and see for the next move. Until then, hold yourself over with "Acquired Taste," wildly more accessible than its name suggests.
