Co-captains of the good ship Sub-Pop, Shabazz Palaces and THEESatisfaction are scheduled to headline a North American tour this Spring. Following the release of Shabazz Palaces' Black Up in 2011--which featured THEESatisfaction's Stasia Irons and Catherine Harris-White over standout tracks "Endeavors for Never" and "Swerve: The reeping of all that is worthwhile (Noir Notwithstanding)" THEESat's own project was AwE naturalE released to critical acclaim in 2012, pushed by the video for their single "QueenS" directed by dream hampton. The two groups have not toured extensively together until now, despite frequent collaboration in other forums, including Seattle's Frye Museum's "Movement Magnitude" series (as part of "The Black Constellation" collective) and work for the upcoming "post-hip-hop" exhibit at Brooklyn's Museum of Contemporary African Disasporan Arts (MoCADA) which opened yesterday and runs through May 26. Meanwhile back at the palace, the tour will touch down in 19 cities across the U.S. and Canada between April and May 2013. With tour dates solidified, Shabazz Palaces is working on the follow-up to Black Up while THEESatisfaction recently released their own clothing line; Black Weirdo Apparel. Scroll down for full dates:
