Fuse’s Crate Diggers series is back again, this time interviewing Diamond D, the man who, with no exaggeration, actually patented the term Diggin’ In The Crates. The D.I.T.C. founding crewmember showcases his legacy as a beatmaker, taking us through his early days of digging with vinyl pieces like the Sesame Street breakbeat record. This installment of Crate Diggers might be the all-time winner, in fact, if only for the story D tells about getting his mom to buy him the Incredible Bongo Band album as a kid (“I paid almost $10 for a fucking six second drum beat?!?). Watch Diamond D get into it below.
