Flex Is Kings is a new documentary following the lives of dancers engaged in the "flexing" movement going on here in Brooklyn; dancers in violent parts of the city expressing themselves by pushing the limits of their bodies, battling in DIY competitions as an alternative to gangs. The filmmakers ran a successful campaign using Kickstarter last year, and used those funds to enter the movie into film festivals. Now that the Tribeca Film Festival has chosen to premiere the movie, the filmmakers have begun another Kickstarter in order to complete the post-production process.
