This Daft Punk x Beastie Boys Mash-Up Album is All You Need For The Weekend

While Daft Punk's work with The Weeknd is all you'll hear about until the Canada's coke-addled crooner drops his new Starboy album, the pioneering electronic duo has popped up in another, less expected way this week. Courtesy of the internets (specifically, a Toronto producer named Coins,) the Parisian pair have turned up as the backdrop for a new mash-up project that paints their glitched-out boogie and disco notes against a collection of The Beasties Boys most (Paul) revered cuts.

You'll hear the Beasties' "Intergalactic pinned up to DP's "Alive," "Pass The Mic" underscored by the heavenly keys of "Something About Us," "Sure Shot" blasted against "Harder Better Faster Stronger," along with five other crucial concoctions sure to have you screwing your face up as we slip into the weekend. This week The Beasties Boys' classic debut Licensed to Ill celebrated the completion of its 30th lap around the sun, still sounding as timeless in 2016 as 1986. Hear a rare cross-generational collision between them and Daft Punk in the player down below. For more from the funky robots, refer to their recent collaborations with The Weeknd (though our gut tells us you'll prefer the former.)
