Daft Punk Action Figures w/ Light-Up Helmets Are On The Way, But They Won't Be Cheap

It seems music-related action figures are all the craze these days. Yesterday we saw the unveiling of an incredible four-piece set of die-cast PVC figures modeled after Public Enemy, and today we're happy to say that Daft Punk will join them in plastic purgatory. Toy company, Medicom has tapped the French duo's Discovery aesthetic for their latest roll-out, complete with multicolored LED lights in the visors of their helmets for that extra touch of authenticity.

The figures will not come as a bargain, though, as the current price for each sits at $256, or just over half a stack for the pair. The near-foot-high statuettes are slated for a May 2017 release, and seeing as how we don't appear to have anything in musical form arriving from Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo anytime soon, they could be just the thing to hold you over (or at least give you something to stare at affectionately as you bump "Something About Us" in hopes of a more imminent return.) Those looking to pre-order the pair can do so via Medicom's site today. Let's all hope that their toy form isn't the last we see of them this decade.
