Cornell Hosts Now Scream! + The 40th Anniversary Of Hip-Hop

Cornell University will play host to the 40th Anniversary of Hip Hop as the founders of the culture converge on the idyllic campus in Ithaca, New York. The series of events entitled Hip Hop: Unbound From The Underground will run from April 4th to the 7th on Cornell's campus. Afrika Bambataa and Grandmaster Caz will appear for the opening of Now Scream! - the first major exhibition of The Cornell Hip Hop Collection. The anniversary features a community-wide fete for the culture. The celebration will include the earliest known hip-hop performance footage, classic hip-hop photography, a screening of Wild Style and a panel discussion that examines when the forefathers of the genre fell in love with hip-hop.
