Common talks new album and movie projects on MTV News

Common is clearly on some sort of stay-busy program because in the months that have passed since dropping his LP The Dreamer, The Believer (fewer than you can count on your fingers), he’s starred in multiple TV and film projects, as well as contributing bars to the G.O.O.D. Music Cruel Summer compilation (not enough bars for some but hey). And yet he is still planning to drop a new album at the “top of the year” and apparently have some songs out and pop-ulating on the blogs before January 2013. Watch this MTV clip below for details on who he’ll be effing with production-wise (No I.D. and possibly some Yeezy) as well as the various movies he’s in. In addition to the intense-looking indie Luv (watch the trailer and find poster art after the jump) which drops in November, Com will also be joining Mark Ruffalo and Jesse Eisenberg in the magician-heist flick (I know, damn ANOTHER magician-heist flick?) Now You See Me as well as another crime drama called Pawn with Ray Liotta and Forest Whitaker. Cheezus, I need a vacation after just reading this dude’s work schedule.
