Common & John Legend's 'Selma' Theme "Glory" Is Nominated For The Oscar For "Best Original Song" At The Upcoming 87th Annual Academy Awards.

Fresh from their monumental win at this year's Golden Globe Awards, Common and John Legend have more reason to celebrate with with news that "Glory" is amongst the compositions nominated in the category of "Best Original Song" at the upcoming 87th Annual Academy Awards. The closing credits track from the pair has been getting plenty of attention as of late, from the recent Globes win to a spike in sales following the film's nationwide release on January 9th. "Glory" is nominated for the Academy Award alongside "Everything Is Awesome" from The Lego Movie, "Grateful" from Beyond The Lights, "I'm Not Gonna Miss You" from Glenn Campbell...I'll Be Me and "Lost Stars" from Begin Again.
