Chromeo Previews New Track "Over Your Shoulder" In New LP Teaser Video

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Dynamic duo Chromeo is back and in full wattage. This morning they released an epic trailer for their upcoming album White Women featuring a preview of their new track "Over Your Shoulder." The follow-up to 2010's Business Casual promises to be a worthy junior effort (you know, junior come after sophomore). The group has been slaving away at the recording process, which has been documented almost entirely through their Instagram account.  A teaser which surfaced this morning opens up with a vast Breaking Bad-ish landscape portrait of a canyon range with a hooptie white convertible burning up the gravel road, giving us a glimpse of the fruit of their summer's labor. The track itself is definitely in the vein of the polished and sequenced sophistifunk the duo has released in years past, however "Over Your Shoulder" boasts an element of cerebral tonality with what seems to be an added focus on songwriting.

The electronic tandem of multi-intrumentalists is prepping us for what seems to be an incredibly eventful release cycle, beginning with tomorrow's set on Boiler Room TV. If you've seen their live show, that promises to be a treat, so be sure to tune in. Alongside tomorrow's performance, the duo will be taking part in an upcoming installation in NYC, the details of which are quite vague at the moment. Check back tomorrow for the link to the set and hopefully some more info on the mysterious installation spot. In the meantime, check after the drop for the teaser.
