Jazz’s young style God, Christian Scott will be performing selections from his recently released Christian aTunde Adjuah this Thursday at the Brooklyn Museum. Accompanied by Braxton Cook on sax, Matt Stevens on guitar, Luques Curtis on bass, and Joe Dyson on drums, Scott will be exploring his own ancestry, as well as themes of racism and inequality. Christian aTunde Adjuah dropped as a double-disc album this summer so if you haven’t yet, check it here. And if you want an idea of what Thursday’s show will be like, watch the trumpet whisperer perform “Litany Against Fear” live at Ameoba Music, below.
