It’s official, y’all. The super-cool, ultra-fantastic creator with a dope habit, Childish Gambino, has had his song, “Redbone” officially certified Gold by the RIAA.

The second single from his #1 R&B album, “Awaken, My Love!” is currently being played across six U.S. radio formats, is a mainstay on both Spotify and iTunes charts and is the opening song for the equally fantastic Jordan Peele horror-thriller, Get Out.

Just last week in an interview, the first-time director and comedian spoke on why he chose to include the track in his film:

Released to critical acclaim, we praised the album in our first-take listen session, which was then co-signed by the likes of Questlove, George Clinton, Pharrell and Usher. With ‘Bino traveling the festival circuit this spring + summer, you should cop a ticket as soon as you can. While you’re at it, don’t forget that we have some worthwhile ‘Bino vinyl in stock that you can pre-order, so check it out and lay a few coins down, too.
