Childish Gambino's Counting Down To Something...And It's Arriving Tomorrow
In case you haven't heard, there's a whole lot going on in the weird, wild and wonderful world of Childish Gambino, err, Donald Glover. This September, his FX series, Atlanta, will make its debut, described has "hip-hop's Twin Peaks." He's also proved that internet activism does, in fact, amount to something, signing on to the forthcoming web-crawler big screen adaptation, Spider Man: Homecoming. But for those of us that have been yearning for Bino's return to music, there hasn't been much for us to work with...until (maybe) now, that is.
A few hours back, Glover, who rarely, if ever, tweets anything at all, sent out a sign of life on the Twittersphere: a lone link to a mysterious phone app that merely counts down from 24 hours as you travel through the great galactic. Where we're headed or what we're counting down to remains to be seen or heard, but for those hoping for new music from Childish Gambino, this may very well be waiting you've been waiting on since his double-sided mixtape release, STN MTN/kauai. Suppose we'll know for sure once the clock hits zero, but until then your guess is as good as ours. Check back at the 3PM tomorrow for the big reveal.
