The In Demand Violin And Viola Duo Charly & Margaux AKA Chargaux Present The Release Of Their Highly-Anticipated 'Broke & Baroque' EP.

Violin and viola duo du jour Chargaux aka Charly and Margaux present their highly-anticipated Broke & Baroque EP. The project debuts today on the heels of a major buzz that has catapulted the ladies from busking around Boston after graduating Berklee College of Music to churning out carefully crafted string arrangements for the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Tame Impala and ScHoolboy Q. The project written and produced by Chargaux was recorded in Brooklyn with a little help from engineer and percussionist Mike Swoop. Producer Softglas and Billboard'sBrad Wete also make cameos on the project; Softglas contributes behind the boards while snippets of an interview Wete conducted with Chargaux are peppered throughout the release. Broke & Baroque follows the first glimpses of the project with the summer release of their singles "I'm So Pretty", "Lullaby" and "Burn Rubber On Me." The ladies drop the project today with a note on their distinctive sound and growth to date:

folk, vocals, electronic drums, classical melodies, emotion, sensualism, violin, viola. this collective sound is pretty hard to imagine if you haven't heard it before. an energetic, relatable contrast to the avant garde Gallerina Suites released 2013.
